I began with a list of about 10 photographers, after searching through hundreds of portfolios waiting for something inspiring I discovered Photography By Monique. I recognized a photo that I had fallen in love with, it was in a book at my wedding venue when we had first visited. It was by chance that I found this amazingly talented couple. Scott & Monique are rarities...deciding between their work was a difficult choice. After heavy consideration and viewing their subtle differences in style my husband and I decided confidently on Scott Sady. It was one of those moments, talking to Scott for the first time that we just knew we'd made the perfect decision, we completely clicked. From every conversation Scott seemed genuinely excited about our event, about all of our ideas and the theme.Speaking with both Scott and Monique was a pleasure, effortless. Any email or phone call was returned promptly and with the utmost consideration, the whole process - coming from a gal who despises paperwork - was simple and straight forward, actually inspiring and got our wheels turning. We chose a 6 hour timeline and Scott patiently went over the entire plan for that day with us numerous times so that everything was confidently in place.The day of, we had a sudden change in weather. Scott arrived even earlier than he had mentioned to scout the property, which was a wonderful surprise. The reported partly cloudy and 60's day went to rainy, down-pour, then snow - Scott wasn't phased, he was inspired, he just went with it and created something incredible. To see your photographer excited is a ridiculously great feeling! He didn't capture moments he captured emotions, he captured who we are at the core, on film. He captured our parents and friends at their greatest moments, it's unbelieveable that he was able to capture what they mean to us in our hearts through an image. Our family is astonished with his talent, we're speechless. Scott is an artist, he has that innate ability to predict exactly when he needs to press the shutter... we could not be more impressed or utterly amazed by his work. We don't just have pictures of our unforgetable day, we have a roadmap of every emotion we felt along that journey. Our unpredictably snowy day is now our story, as coined by Scott himself. We recieved everything we didn't even know we needed - completely unexpected and everything better than we ever could have imagined.Thank you Scott, words are not enough, you are incredible! Monique was amazing! She captured every moment of our special day in her photos. It was as if we were reliving that day when we received the photos, which also came quickly and beautifully presented. She was fantastic with my whole family and my 2 year old daughter as well. I would definitely hire her again and recommend her to all in the Tahoe area. Thank you again Monique!

Scott was so easy going and that's what we really liked about him. At times, we even forgot he was there. He captured some amazing and unique shots of our wedding. He was just great!

Really, truly, honestly... Scott and Monique both do EXQUISITE work! They are SO reasonably priced for the services and quality they offer. Scott's professionalism is unparalleled in that he made every picture taking "experience" fun and creative! Nothing ever felt "forced" on camera and he was so relaxed he made us relaxed- even on our wedding day!!! Monique & Scott have such a creative eye and for me that was one of the main reasons I picked them. They each have a little bit different style, giving them such a BROAD spectrum of creativity... I can't even describe some of the magic they were able to capture. I would absolutely, 100% recommend Scott and Monique for any photo shoot... After 3 photo shoots and many hours with them I can say without a doubt, if creative-incredibly-amazing photos is what you want... that's what you'll get with Scott and Monique.(If you're wondering about the missing 0.5 for flexibility... it's because we had to choose black/white or color or half/half for our wedding albums a year prior to our wedding!! I was bummed to find out I had chosen the half/half option when our pictures looked 1,000X better in color!-- it turned out ok though because the originals I was sent all remained in color!) So the missing half point is technically my fault, just wish I could have chosen that option later in the process.

Monique and Scott were everything we could have asked for and more. Intelligent and friendly, Monique and Scott put my wife and I at ease from the first time we met them. Finding a photographer that makes you comfortable is a vital part of getting good pictures, so I can not stress the importance of their excellent personalities enough.On top of their glowing personalities, the photographs were excellent! My wife and I were overflowing with joy and our friends/family can not stop raving about excellent everything looked.When it came down to paperwork and the business relationship that must always exist in this industry, I found Monique was a pleasure to work with. When my husband and I were planning our Squaw wedding, we knew we were going to tie the knot, kiss the bride and then hit the slopes in our dress and tux before we settled in for the reception. I was not only looking for a photographer who could capture the wedding but I needed a photographer that could capture our first snowboard run as husband and wife. I was so thrilled to find and meet with Scott Sady from Photography by Monique. Scott an outdoor enthusist could easily related to our unique wedding plans. The plannign was very easy via email, phone or in person. A real pro he was riding backwards while shooting our run, it was amazing. It was snowing and the pictures came out awesome. The pictuers from the getting ready, portraits, capturing hte venue, and capturing all the fantastic dancing at the reception were perfect. Scott and Monique made it fun taking pictures throughout the day not stodgy just a real treat. All my family members andf friends commented on how cool they photogrpahers were and how cool i t was they were really getting those fun shots on the dance floor. For sure, if you are looking for a photogrpaher who can capture your special day Monique and Scott are perfect as well as they can capture any adventure you want remembered! They are a special breed of photographers, one of a kind for sure.

I actually used Scott Sady, Monique's husband that works with her.I proactively recommend Scott. He is awesome. First of all, he has a great relaxed presence that makes picture taking fun even with the stress of the wedding day. His photojournalstic style is really great at capturing the real memories of the day and my wedding album is one of my favorite things that I own :). One of my bridesmaids even booked him for her wedding 6 months later because he was so great- and he did fantastic with her photos too even though the 2 weddings were pretty different in style (informal v. formal, outdoor v. indoor).He was flexible with traveling to the Bay Area, and although he is excellent with candids he is also very organized about making sure he's gotten the "must have" shots (with the family, etc.)When I go through my pictures it totally brings back everything wonderful about my day and I LOVE showing them off :).He also gives you the digital copies of the pictures and the rights to them so that you can make your own album, print copies, everything totally unlimited.Great value, great guy, phenomenal pictures.I've seen Monique's portfolio and she is fantastic too, there is even an option to have them both shoot at the wedding.Highly recommended.
