Blue Angel Cafe

I cannot describe how perfect my day was because of Blue Angel, we had our ceremony and reception in the loft, we were able to go in the day before for a rehearsal and to decorate the space. The staff was there and I was able to ask questions. On the day of the wedding, everything was in place. The staff was absolutely amazing, they did the changeover in what seemed like seconds, while we were taking pictures, so I don't think anyone really even noticed. The professionalism and courtesy was unparalleled, both by Ali, the manager, and the two waitresses we had there. The food was delicious and we got a ton of compliments on it. The room is fairly small though, so even though the website says you can have up to 100, it seems like it would be a little bit crowded. We had about 45 and it was perfect, with plenty of dancing space. The whole thing went off seamlessly.

We used the Loft at Blue Angel Cafe for our rehearsal dinner venue. Ultimately, we felt they did a nice job. I agree with the previous reviewer that they were a bit disorganized - lost a check of ours, etc. That being said, the service was friendly, the value was reasonable for Tahoe, and the food, while certainly not being the best I've ever had, was tasty.

I booked the Blue Angel Cafe for my reception and they partner with several vendors for the ceremony. I chose the Lake Tahoe Beach and Ski Club as the size of my wedding guest list was 50 and under. You are left with the impression that the staff at Blue Angel will help you with every tdetail, but this is not true. HIRE A PLANNER FOR THE DAY! I was told not to hire a planner for the day and that they could help with the details. They are very unorganized, things that were written down on their check list did not happen, my flower order was delayed because of a miscommunication between them and the florist, at the ceremony they stood back and watched everything happen and did not help get the procession started. The musician was asked to help step in with getting things started. Also, Ihad to keep asking for incorrect invoices to be corrected, and during the reception we did not get to finish our meals. I feel that the venue is great for the price and ambiance, the food is wonderful, for the price it can't be beat. But the two running the show are very unorganized and need a little help in this area. I would go with this venue only if you hire a planner to help make sure the details go off without a hitch.
